Recreated by InGen at its facility on Isla Sorna, where the island’s workers served as its caretakers, it was later transported to nearby Isla Nublar to become one of Jurassic Park’s attractions. A colossal giant standing over nine meters tall, it had hind legs so strong they allowed it to assume a bipedal stance while feeding, reaching the tops of the tallest trees. The first dinosaur seen by Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ellie Sattler, members of the team hired by InGen to assess the park’s safety for visitors, their encounter left them both astonished in one of Jurassic Park’s most memorable scenes.
